When I first started receiving all the news that there was to be a baby boom this spring and summer I thought: What a great excuse to knit lots of cute baby sweaters! (I had to scrap that idea – where did my time go?)
But as the months have moved along and Mama’s are nearing the end of their gestation or in some cases have given birth to beautiful tiny human beings.
I find myself far behind in my baby knitting goals – so I’m knitting lots of hats! What baby could not use a cutesy stripey cotton hat for the summer and into the fall? It’s not too hot, good protection from stiff breezes or cool a/c.
They are the perfect project to take along on the seemingly endless amounts of sporting practices, games, shows, clinics, and so on. I can knit for 10 minutes or an hour.
Oh! and they also fit perfectly in my new project carrying case – not lunch box.
